WHO ARE WE?

IN SHORT

THE ANDREW MURRAY CENTRE FOR SPIRITUALITY IS A COMMUNITY OF SILENCE, SOLITUDE AND PRAYER, WHERE WE INVITE EACH OTHER TO COME TO REST AND DISCOVER OUR ROOTS IN CHRIST.

We form a community without conditions, where we meet each other in our vulnerability, and encourage each other to follow a daily rhythm of prayer and reflection on our calling and service. Within this community we encourage each other to grow in our relationship with Christ and to discern our calling in Africa and further.

Our facilities are purposefully developed to create an atmosphere of quietness, meditation, and humiliation. Our personnel and presenters are people who, from a deeply rooted relationship with Christ and by taking everyone’s expectations into account, guide others to search for meaningful quietness.

OUR ROOTS

Andrew Murray forms to a large extent the basis on which this centre was built.

His unique view on life and the world is a phenomenal inspiration and his heritage motivate us to work and live in deep dependency on God and koinonia with each other. The seriousness within which he could be quiet in God and the very intimate relationship he had with Christ, help us to give substance to the purpose of the centre.

This centre was created because of the deep need that existed for a space where anyone could be still and have meaningful encounters with themselves and with God.
